What a wonderful surprise...

I have not seen my parent's since we flew home from our trip there December 2019. How it has been for a while now, is we will fly down south one year and the following year my parents will fly up here. Well, COVID happened and their trip here did not happen.

Here we are... 2021 and COVID is slowly going down in cases and more cities and states are opening back up and getting things back to as normal as they can be. That being said, my parents booked their trip to come up here to see us and see our new house. I have been counting down the days... I have never gone this long without seeing my parents and boy does my heart hurt because of it.

Well... let's go back to June 25th. My kiddo and I were at my work. She was finishing her last day of school and I was chugging along at work. It was going to be one of the hottest weekends we have ever had in WA state, but we had our AC ready to go and ready to enjoy our weekend.

Someone walked into my office and I turned and said "Good afternoon, I will be right with you" and I turned back around. This gentleman had his mask on and I didn't really focus on his face. I did see he was holding his cell phone in front of his face and I thought that was weird. I was about to turn back around, when my kiddo said in a louder voice... MOM. I turned around and really looked at this man... I turned around and put my head in my hands and just cried.

MY DAD was in my office. He was standing just a few feet away from me. My kiddo got up and gave him a super big hug and when I was able to compose myself, I got up and said, what are you doing here... and walked over to him. That hug was the best hug EVER! My heart was exploding with happiness. I was still confused on what he was doing here, but I didn't care. My daddy was here. I called my boss and told him I had to leave early and explained what was going on. My kiddo left her class early and emailed her last class teacher and told him she wouldn't be in class and we were off to head to my house.

Here is a picture of the 3 of us before we headed home... WHAT a wonderful surprise and one I will never ever forget. I love this man with my whole heart and this visit was so needed.
