New Journey

April 29th was a busy day... My husband and the youngest went to my work to set up my new office. Yep, that is right... new office.

May 1 - I would start working for my new boss, Ruben Kerson. Myron was going to be starting the stages of retiring and Ruben was taking over the agency and acquiring 2 other smaller agencies.

I met Ruben back in March, I believe. It went good. I asked him all my questions about what I needed and wanted and it seemed like a great fit. In the middle of April, he interviewed Ingrid and I was able to be there with him to see if we all seemed to get along and it went well. She speaks Spanish, which was what we needed.  1 agency he was purchasing had mostly Spanish speaking customers, so we needed a Spanish speaking agent as well.

In talking with Ruben about things, I told him I wanted to move the filing cabinet into the extra office, and his reply was... You don't want that office? I told him I didn't that was an option. Well, it was and I now have my own office. I have a TON more room than before, but I still manage to run out of space. Hahaha... I have ordered a lot of things to help with organization and I love my office.

May 1 - we all started working together. I have 23 years experience, Ruben is a newer agent, and Ingrid has been in the industry for I believe 6 or 7 years. It has been a great fit.

October will be 4 months down and it's going great. We all 3 get along so well. Lots of laughter, lots of help, it's just a great fit. I feel extremely blessed that I was able to stay with my old agency customers and gain new ones. It's been more than double the work as before, but I found joy in my job again. I am not saying working for my old boss was not joyful, but the work load was so much that it was weighing on me. Now this level of busyness is just different. But, I love it and I love my job.

I look forward to our future together at this agency and look forward to being able to help our customers the best way I can.
