Day off with the Kiddo

I decided this year to take Martin Luther King, Jr day off with the kiddo. She comes to work with me every other week to do schooling and the other week she is at her dad's.

With her being with me, I hate when she has to spend her days off school at my work. So, I took the day off to hang with her. 

The day did not happen like we expected, but we still had a great day. Our goal was to go to the book store, get Popeyes for lunch and then watch One Tree Hill all day long.

But, Abe was off work as well and his new glasses came in. The office location was a little ways away so we went with him so he could use the car pool lane. And since we were up north, we decided to go say hi to the kiddo's dad, stepmom and little sis. They haven't seen her in person since New Year's day so we visited for about an hour. They have been sick lately, so the kiddo has been staying at our house until they get better. She is going to go over there on Sunday for 2 weeks... but seeing them was a great break in the week. They were so happy to see her and her little sis and I were able to play for a little while. We played hide and seek and chased each other. IT was a great break in our day. 

We left there and brought Abe home.

We then went to the book store. IT was the first time in a while that I bought myself some books. I have kindle and just got a new tablet kindle fire, so I have been reading on there, but there is something special about reading a book physically in your hands. So, I was able to get 3 books for a great price and so exited to read them.

We did watch 1 episode of One Tree Hill...

All and all it was a super great day enjoying time together. The only missing link to our day was the oldest.
