Making new memories...

My friend Stacey was in town this past weekend with her boyfriend and they had a trip packed of fun stuff. I took half a day off work and went to pick them up in Seattle yesterday and we were able to go have lunch and have a great visit before I dropped them off at the airport. 

Stacey and I went to high school together. The last time we actually saw each other in person was graduation day. I moved to Washington the following year, she moved to Houston for work and we just didn't stay connected in person. Thankfully Facebook reconnected us back when it started and I was able to stay connected that way. 

It was like we were back in high school. We talked like nothing changed. Just new parts of our lives and we now have kids. It was a great visit and I will definitely stay in touch more. We have a plan to go hang out with them either when we first fly in or the day before we leave and spend the night. We will probably do the flight back to Seattle so we can break up the travel day... 

My heart is happy! My family and friends make me so incredibly happy... and seeing one in person made my year even better. My dad earlier, her and now my parents in November! Happy life...
