Another year gone...

Another year gone... I turned 41 today. Nothing too exciting happened other than turning a year older and I had a lot of love from people telling me Happy Birthday through text, calling, Facebook messaging. It was awesome to see so much love!

Another year turning a year older in quarantine. My big 40 was in quarantine and so was this year. No get together with all my friends. Just myself and my family and a few friends here and there. Definitely not what I was expecting/hoping for, but hey life throws obstacles in your path and you just have to make the best of it.

This year, I was suppose to have a craft day with my bestest friend... Well... it just so happens that she was exposed to COVID 12 days before my birthday. We thought she was good... she had 1 negative test and then 3 days later she took a 2nd one just in case and it was positive. I was super sad, but all I wanted was for her to get better. I did, however, spend the day with my husband and daughter. Hubby didn't have a job and kiddo was doing school. Husband ran some errands in the morning and brought us breakfast on his way back home... We ate a later breakfast, so we did not grab lunch.... the 3 of us went to get our hair cuts. For the kid and I, it was our first hair cut since before the pandemic started. It was so nice to get newly cut hair. We ran some errands and then ended my birthday enjoying some delicious Thai food. One of my favorites! It was a perfect day with some awesome humans.

The bad news is time flies... The good news is you're the pilot. - Michael Alshuler. I am not sure who he is, but I absolutely LOVE this quote. I get to make my choices in life and I get to make sure I have good or bad days. Yes, sometimes bad things happen and you have not so good days, but you get to choose how you react to those things. I choose happiness. I choose to love. I choose to forgive. I choose to pray. I choose to rejoice. I choose to LIVE!

Make sure that no matter what you choose today, you choose what your heart deserves! Life is way too short to not enjoy every single moment!
