Beginning of February

January has come and gone. I can't believe it has gone by so quickly...

The kids are still doing online schooling. They will until they go back in the fall. We opted for online for now. We have some high risk people we are around so we want to make sure to keep the exposure limited. They are tired of it, but they understand.

Abe and I are still working. Abe's hours are limited, but that is because it is winter time. Winter time's are harder than the rest of the months, but we are getting by. I am working like normal. I wear masks when people come into the office and sanitize at work more. I do have my office set up at home with my new desk top computer, in preparation for snow days. I did drive to work when we lived in Auburn once it cleared up some, but that was because I had 3 streets to drive on and all of it was flat. Now that we live in Federal Way, I have big hills to go up and down and I am OUT! My boss knows this and is prepared for it. I have brought stuff home to work on when I am working from home and it will keep me busy.

I have been crafting a lot with my Cricut. It is so much fun creating things and cutting them and making my ideas come to life. I am currently working on doing all 10 of Abe's new shirts. We have done 3 of them so far. His ideas are WAY more than I was expecting, but it has been good. I have learned quite a bit and I have been able to play with multiple colors in my project and it is helping me get more experience. I did buy a lot of stuff to decorate/craft with and I can't wait to play with it all. I am off on my birthday and the day after, so I have plans of crafting on my days off.

I started reading the Harry Potter books. I have watched the movies so many times, I can't count... but I have never read the books. I have read the first book and I am on the second one. I am enjoying them...

We are cooking more at home with COVID out there and our restaurants being closed. It is helping us save money and I am trying to make new meals for our rotation. I have found a few delicious ones that we will definitely add to a more normal rotation. On Sunday I made my mom's roast for the first time ever. I think I did pretty great. I mean, I had no leftovers... so that say's something right? We also had a 3 year old eating it that is VERY picky with her food and every time she ate the roast she would say NOM NOM NOM. It was pretty funny.

Other than all that, we are just trying not to bug each other too much and living life to the fullest. I know right now, we are unable to do all the fun things we normally would be doing, but we are making the best out of it. Life is too short... I have had to remind myself that to help with the stress of it all. Living life one day at a time and making the best out of each day.

Oh yeah... another thing I picked up during COVID is doing diamond art. It is a picture, where you place little gems on in their specific spot to create the image you want. It is super fun and relaxing. The first one I did was a picture of 3 dandelions with the pedals floating away. It turned out so pretty. The current one I am doing is a Nightmare Before Christmas one. It is a bit bigger than I thought and taking me longer to do, but I am trying to get it done so I can start on my Star Wars ones. I have 4 Star Wars ones to do and they are going to look so cool!

That is a little of what is going on over here... not too much going on, but making the best out of what we can!

Until next time... take care and stay safe out there!
